360° VR Videos Boost Well-being In Older Adults
A scoping review of 10 studies with 524 older adults found that immersive 360° videos improved emotions and reduced apathy in community settings and residential aged care. Side effects were rare and mild, including among participants with cognitive impairment. Natural scenes and familiar places proved the most effective content.
360° Beach Meditation & VR boost Healthcare Worker Well-being
This study compared virtual reality meditation (with neurofeedback) to a regular audio meditation, for healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. Both groups felt less angry, tense, and depressed after meditation, but the virtual reality group felt significantly calmer and happier, while the audio group didn't.
